Come Join us at Arrowood Brewery for an element of the unexpected! Hang out with Circle Creative Collective and Good Work Institute as Mary Jane Nusbaum guides us in making a beautiful notebook with simple shibori folded paper and natural dyes. Shibori is a Japanese technique of binding and folding cloth or paper to create beautiful designs. With shibori the dyer works in concert with the materials, not in an effort to overcome their limitations but to allow them full expression. Materials include dyes harvested last fall from Hudson Valley plants.
Food truck will be on premises; beer and food available for purchase.
Suggested donation of $5 - $20. Proceeds go to support ongoing workshops at the African Roots Library with Harambee through Circle Creative Collective, and GWI programming.
