Calling All Lovers of Unique, Locally and Artisan-Made Gifts, Housewares, Original Crafts and Art As Well As Creators of Handmade Beauty!
You Are Cordially Invited…
We’re so excited to have you join us for our third MAKER'S MARKET where we can celebrate our local Hudson Valley artisans and their work! Please join us at the beautiful Scribner’s Catskill Lodge in Hunter, NY to support others’ creative journeys, and begin or deepen your own through crafting kits that are available for purchase as well as community projects on-site. Peruse gorgeous made-with-love items (hand woven, carved, or created) that make great gifts and unique heirlooms.
Join many artisans from the Catskills & Hudson Valley! Enjoy a day of shopping, community, wine, beer, cider, music, and more all curated by the Circle Creative Collective’s team for a day of fun! Adults, children, and well-behaved pups are all welcome!
Get to know the makers and listen to their personal stories about their processes, and why they are driven to express themselves through their hands. By supporting local artisans who make things in small batches we are also making a difference for the earth by encouraging natural, sustainably harvested materials and processes. We are also helping to foster healthier, happier humans!
WHEN: September 18th RAIN DATE IN EFFECT (11:30-5:30)
WHERE: In the Garden, SCRIBNER'S CATSKILL LODGE, 13 SCRIBNER HOLLOW RD, HUNTER, NY 12442
HOW*: Attendance is FREE (VENDOR INFO BELOW)
This is more than a market. We encourage you to push yourself further than just being an observer or a shopper. PLAY. Try weaving at the community weaving project, and other hands-on exploration as well as meet new friends. And then bring those seeds of inspiration back into your own lives where we hope you will continue on your own personal courageous creative journeys, maybe by taking out your newly purchased loom, macrame kit or that dusty set of paints, doing some collage, or coming to join us in Circle for some classes on natural plant dyeing, or weaving, wooden spoon making, embroidery and so much more.
This past year and a half has transformed lives in both challenging and many unexpectedly good ways. We can say many things about the Covid era but for many artists and makers, their creative processes were a savior, a way of transforming pain and fear into beauty and healing. This essential alchemy is something we should all give ourselves permission to make time for (and can!), and so we invite you to join us this weekend to support others, while also immersing yourself in some inspiration and maybe even try a few new creative mediums with our on-site workshops.
A handmade thing tells a complex story that speaks of the individual, their culture and history, as well as their struggles and dreams.
Gratitude!
