Journaling As Craft

Want to find your flow? Develop or rediscover the beauty of this grounding, healing practice? Journaling is a deeply therapeutic tool, a rare and important time capsule, a place to vision the future and alchemize life’s challenges. Journaling As Craft is rife with inspiration, discovery and wild play.

Join us for an inspiring in-person one day workshop that will be:

creative exploration

poetry

collage

words hurled at a page

and laid gently

walks in nature

connecting with others

slowing down

noticing deeply

expressing words from the heart

play

Are you ready to allow your truth to erupt and express the way it’s calling you to?

Relish this plunge into unbridled expression with Jenny Wonderling. Let’s let it all pour through in a safe and supportive space devoid of judgment. Your inner judge has no place here btw, so you can leave that at the door. Here, in this light-flooded space and outdoors at Circle’s Studio, for an extravagant block of uninterrupted time, there is only pure emotion and thought, authentically your own, pouring, splattering across pages.

Time is all your own here to honor your deepest places. Nothing else to do.

For this luscious drop into your deepest places, there will be no “right” words or their structure; no wrong ways of wending sentences and dreams. Those clean white pages* are calling you.

*Jenny prefers if participants explore journaling the old-fashioned way, with pen and paper. Revisions, if there may be, can be done on a laptop after an initial free-flowing session. Please BRING A JOURNAL. Laptop optional.

FOR TICKETS TO THIS WORKSHOP: CLICK HERE

WHEN: MAY 2nd, 11am-2pm

WHERE: Circle Studios 62 Plains Road, New Paltz, 12561

PLEASE BRING A MASK, SOME PENS OR PENCILS AND A JOURNAL. Tea will provided. Please bring yourself an extra beverage, a snack and lunch to eat during a break. Feel free to bring slippers to wear in the space. Finally, 4 hours may seem like a long time but we will break up our writing time with walks outside, some creative eliciting exercises, time to share some of our ramblings, and… if you feel called, time to get up and stretch on a yoga mat or just move in the space or outside. So do wear comfortable clothes and bring a yoga mat if you have one. It’s nice to stretch and move in order to reconnect with memories and deeper thought/emotion.

If you are interested in an online version of this workshop, please email Jenny here: info@circlecreativecollective.org and write JOURNALING in the memo line. If there’s enough interest we will schedule it. Thanks!
